My boyfriend prefers the shower stall in the other. I knew it couldn't be the water because my bath hasn't any pink problem and his does. And that's what led me, quite perfectly, to this thread. The construction explained it all for me! He's an HVAC man. Been working it for almost 40 years. We had the same problem in our previous home, only had one bath there, and I'd wandered then as well. So, thank you so very much for solving my mystery. Now all I need to do is convince him that a shower in his shop would be so nice for him, lol!!!

It also grows in my dog's water dish if I don't swish it out with a cloth each time I refill it. A plumber was here on a service call one time and he mentioned it was a harmless pink algae.
