Logs to Lumber - An aerial journey through the sawmill

For every fifty 'stupid drone videos', there is one like this that is pretty amazing.

Very good.

Local saw mill (smaller than this one) gave tours a couple of years ago. Really interesting to see. Sharpening blades is pretty much a full time job.

seems like a lot of effort

why not just grow the trees in the shape of dressers and chairs

Very nicely done. Did you note the blue porta potty on the crane at the start of the video? thas so the operator doesn't have to come down the crane to use the bathroom. Also, the part with the really bright light (3:40) where they flip over the board and pass under another bright light is scanning with a camera for knots. Note the one board is cut into 2 pieces to optimize the good lumber.
