OT Solar bridge

So, it's a station that happens to be on a bridge and, according to he article is not quite solar powered, then. (By about 50%)

If they got rid of the solar panels, and replaced them with glass, they'd not need to run the lighting during daylight hours, saving about the same amount of electricity and avoiding the pollution caused by making the solar panels. Or just cancel the first and last trains from each station served by those lines, and save some more energy at *all* the stations they serve.

Don't be stupid. Roof lights on large buildings are on the North side of the ridges to avoid solar heating gain. So the South side of the ridges is free for solar PV.

So you've not looked closely at the pictures, then. The one in the article shows a roof arrangement that would cut internal light well below the standards required for safety without supplementing it with artificial light, except in bright sunny conditions.
