My Mum eats their meals every day, and enjoys them. At 91, her short term memory is not good, so each meal is a surprise :-)
The correct term for government pensions is Ponzi Scheme.
The difference between the government pension scheme and a Ponzi Scheme is that the government has the reserves to fund it. The government can print money. The run of the mill Ponzi Scheme operator can't. For similar reasons the government doesn't insure its property and other assets.
Yes, late father had them as well but even though the total choice of meals is quite large it doesn't take many dislikes to cross a great many off the menu. I think Dad only had half a dozen or so that he liked and he would try things provided they weren't too "exotic", ie fitted the "meat and two veg" category.
And the correct term for governments is "self-legalising protection rackets".
Oh yes...my nearest outlet is 2.8 miles away!
Final Salary Pension Schemes were f***ed up by Gordon Brown with regulations which prevented companies building up the funds in the good times so when the rains came the roof fell in. Abandonment of compulsory membership didn't help.

Which aren't?
the pension scheme that I was in, for a start.
Yes. As a welder.
Up to a point. The point being somewhere near Athens...
