Is it any good? A few houses in the neighbourhood have been done, and they have been looking for business. House is around 35 years old, with a lot of moss growth on one side.

I can't see why painting gunge over tiles will help anything, can you? Before anything can be coated reliably, it usually has to be scrupulously clean. But in any case, if a tiled roof is leaking it's likely to be broken tiles, which gunge won't help.

Might be good for protecting against frost damage, but that's fairly rare for roof tiles AFIAK.
