please help had to remove shower door ,then the metal that held the door , but i cannot find anything that will remove the glue they used to keep the metal fram stuck to the tub. any suggestions please.

Is it caulking or Silicone ? As long as its a steel tub w/enamel surface, try "Goo Gone" or lacquer thinner.
