Dont panick the house hasnt blown up. However....
I have a small cupboard where the gas boiler is (17 years old) and everything appears ok. I had a plumber out doing some work (new toilet) and he had to turn off the water which is in the same cupbaord. Immediately he said I can smell gas (which i never have) Under legal obligation I must check for any leaks, which he did and said all is fine, but he still insists there is a faint smell of gas. I am assuming this might be from the pilot light which once in a while blows out in high winds.
Advice on what to do? The plumber is coming back in a few days (he is corgi registered).
thanks
