why do they insist on using perpend vents on smooth light coloured render....do they not realise the staining problems they are going to have?.....

Nobody cares. Its like the way ordinary screws get used for things outside so a rust mark appears on the wall as the head goes rusty. Brian

You can get plastic weephole inserts. There should be zero water comes from these vents anyway. If you have, there is a structural defect somewhere above the weephole
