Much 'colour prejudice' is often based on a valid dislike of an alien culture and is nothing to do with race.

Just because someone has a different culture isn't a reason to dislike it or them. Some people travel far and wide to glimpse different cultures. Why would we do that if we didn't enjoy it?

Its not a requirement, but it is hard wired into our evolution. We are predisposed to not trust those we see as not part of our tribe, since there was a time when that was a valuable survival skill.

Probably because once you overcome your innate heuristic approach to categorising threats, you realise that the modern world is different from what most of our history taught us.

If that were true, we'd all be living in isolated groups- assuming the genetic defects due to inbreeding hadn't seen us off.

See above. Had our ancestors not been willing to go beyond their immediate local tribes/groups - we'd have succumbed to heaven knows what genetic defects. The idea that even every one in England (ignoring immigrants etc) are all culturally the same is nonsense.

Groups would have distrusted other groups, but where there were enough similarlities they would combine to combat a larger outside threat. Thus larger and larger groups and eventually nations formed, but dissimilar outsiders are still not trusted.

We *were* living in isolated groups.

Don't generalise from "some people" to "we", OK?

How d'ye know they were willing? I don't imagine that those plundered by f'rinstance the Vikings, were "willing", and I don't suppose that the women and girls captured and taken away by same were "willing" either.
Small, isolated groups were vulnerable. If however there were two larger groups rubbing up next to each other, sometimes they fought for centuries, other times they learnt to get along because mutual cooperation was beneficial. But a wise leader of such groups would remain vigilant until there had been much intermarriage.
In any case the process took centuries. A fact that the EU would do well to learn.

And in some cases even that all came unstuck, most obviously in Bosnia etc where there had been much intermarriage over a very long time.

Not always, particularly with the USA with the whites.

You really think the EU seeks to impose one culture on all? Would that be German culture - or French?
Or just any old culture provided it isn't British?

And the naive like you think the EU is united in everything against the UK. So invent things like a common EU culture, without a scrap of evidence.

It is.

No, he said predisposed, not hidebound.

Doesn’t have to be inbred when the group is big enough.
And even with cultures that are surprisingly inbred, particularly with the smaller villages in the middle east into marrying cousins a lot more than most, that certainly does see some very real downsides but those groups don’t actually go extinct much.

Useless.

That doesn’t in fact happen with the groups whose culture does see a lot of marrying cousins etc.

You can't ignore immigrants with england, because immigration has been going on there very aggressively indeed for millennia now.

Corse it is, but that isnt what is claimed.

True, but there's also the fact that some alien cultures have inherently rebarbative aspects. It is a fallacy that all cultures are equal.
