OT: leaving food sitting out

I would find it convenient sometimes to have a second one. My current one is a combination microwave/oven/grill and sometime I want to microwave and oven cook things for the same meal. The combi is much faster for oven cooking than using the one in the cooker.

Usually drying out, loss of taste, but seldom anything actually harmful, but it does depend on where you are and what is in it I suppose. Brian

This is true. In general food that is a bit iffy will give you the squits from the bacteria or yeasts that have taken up residence, taking up a new residence in your stomach.

It has to be truly rotten before the toxins already in it, kill you.

I often find there is a need for tow. e.g defrosting some meat or cooking the rice and wanting to flash some poppadums at the same time.

Once you stop thinking of a µWave as for defrosting or reheating, and start using it as a cooker, two becomes a reasonable choice.

We recently bought a combi microwave, but didn't get rid of the old single-purpose one (it currently lives on top of the extra fridge in the utility room). It frequently comes in handy.

Yesterdays "Sliced Bread" on BBC R4 was testing air fryers and the savings in electricity usage were worth considering.

"If it's yellow, let it mellow; if it's brown, flush it down."

(I don't bother as I'm not on a water meter so have to use plenty to justify the high water charge.)

I might be wary in hot weather.

One thing I have noticed, is that families that are the most fastidious with hygiene are the ones most likely to have stomach upsets!

Perhaps it's chicken and egg, or is it chicken then egg?

So I can use both simultaneously. Couldn't manage very well with only one.

Cause and effect? If you're one prone to upsets, you're more likely to be anal hem hem about hygiene.
