BBC blame warm weather on El Nino instead of global warming!

Yes honestly, they did! On the news channel! A long item about temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere being unseasonally high. They wheeled a bloke on who said it was all due to El Nino. He didn't mention global warming once and not did the voice over the bits of video they showed. I can't believe it!
I wonder if someone will be sent for re-education, as happened after the 'What's the Point of...?' programme in which Quintin Letts was seriously off-message and expressed scepticism about global warming. You can't listen to the programme because the BBC have banned it. They don't like free speech.

Climate change not global warming.
I can remember some years back nobody had heard of this effect mentioned. I just think that somebody is trying to use different words.
Personally, I'd be glad if we had less pollution never mind climate change and nobody can dispute where a lot of that stuff comes from!

For which you need fewer people. Good luck with that.

No, just people doing things better.

Don't need luck, just better engineering.

We have amazingly less pollution. Than 50 years ago.

we have different pollution - whether we have less would be hard to tell.

if you have the right measuring equipment. A lot of modern pollution is invisible - unlike old-fashioned smog.

well I don't think plastic bags or human turds floating down river are invisible.
And even sulphur dioxide will make your lungs burn and your eyes smart.
And its not rocket science to detect and measure most major pollutants.

that's hardly a quamtitative measurement.

no, but it still needs decent measuring equipment

Actually, there isn't nearly enough of it.

CO2 is inert. NOx is highly reactive.
