OT: Senior WH official confirms what we all see with op-ed in the NY Times

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/05/opinion/trump-white-house-anonymous-resistance.html
I'm sure the trumpets will just dismiss this patriot as another part of the swamp and deny what he says, even though it conforms perfectly with all that we see ourselves every day. One thing is for sure, again, it's not some Democrat or some lib, like so many others that have told what's going on with Trump, this is a person Trump chose. Either everyone is wrong, part of some "deep state conspiracy" or else they are all right and Trump is a sick whacko moron.

This is scary. We see some of the goings on but this is from the inside and leads me to believe things are worse than I imagined. Everyone, including his fan base should be concerned.

We should not be surprised, in the least, - if it turns out to be true - that the Stable Genius acts like a knucklehead behind closed doors ... just look at his public behaviour ! John T.

The trumpets are the key to the whole dilemma. Only when they finally admit that Trumps behavior is abnormal and that something is seriously wrong can anything be done about it. As long as he has 40% approval, we just go on.
And it's sad that the Congress won't do anything either. After Trump attacked Session the other day for the DOJ indicting those two Congressmen, saying that because they were GOP he should have allowed them to get re-elected, you'd think the whole Congress would pass a declaration condemning what Trump said, standing up for Sessions, the rule of law and the Constitution. Instead, they did nothing.
The only message I have left that I can send is to vote for every Democrat in November. If it takes a stunning defeat for the trumpets to learn that we won't join them and Trump in the gutter, so be it. To do otherwise, for there to be no consequences, or worse to put more GOP in who endorse the values of this hijacked Trump GOP, would send the message that it works and we want more of it. Paradoxically, Trump is also affecting the Democrats. More and more of the young more radical lib Democrats are winning the primaries, driven to do something partly because of Trump. He's making both parties crazy.

Trump, I think, will be really POd when he wakes up on a Wednesday morning in November. Congress will look a lot different than when he went to bed.

More Republican faces? I don't know if I can take another round of the Democratic "Where did we go wrong?" hand wringing.

I understand, but he is creating a lot of backlash. There has already been some surprises in the primaries and I think it will carry over to the general election.

like that socialist female POC in Boston? I think South Boston is in her district. Good luck with that. At least the Bronx dodo has a chance.

We had a primary yesterday and Dem Senator Carper easily defeated his far left, female opponent. The local rag had made it look like he was in for trouble. They are also leftist but favor Carper. I figure an exercise in fake news to sell papers.
I was quite pissed at the paper this morning as his contest was front page news but the paper said we had to go on line to see the rest of the states results. In DE, all results are in within an hour of the polls closing so it was not late night and the paper had no excuse.

Trump was in this state yesterday to drum up support for the Republican Senate candidate. The mud is already flying so it should be an interesting election. The incumbent is a Democrat which is a hard act in a red state. If he doesn't vote against Kavanaugh the Dems will hate hum; if he does the voters will. He would be a good guy -- if he wasn't a Democrat. He's snuggled up to Schumer one too many times.

Another aspect is I think when Trump won the primary, the GOP figured they could work with him, coax him along, that while he was clearly an imperfect vessel, they could together get things done. They learned that as I figured all along, he's a mental moron with so much wrong with him that he can't be coaxed, educated, controlled and grow into anything even close to an acceptable president.
We just better hope that this working group of high level people who are trying to contain him can succeed at doing so if a real crisis erupts, eg KJU decides to launch a PR attack on Trump or do another missile test and Trump wants to impulsively give orders to launch an attack on NK. There was talk early this year about some members of his defense team wanting to give KJU a punch in the nose. They thought that a limited US strike on NK would teach him a lesson and not result in a war. It's incredible that seeing Trump, anyone there would ever propose such a thing. But apparently there was serious talk about it and Trump could one day get mad and decide to order it.

I said it before, I was happy to see Hillary lose even though I did not vote for Trump either. How bad can it be? Congress will keep him in check and maybe some things will get better for it. I never thought it would turn out this bad to have the rest of the world laughing at us.

I can see nukes flying in that situation.

I can see this attitude. I pretty much had it myself.

And if you changed like this, where are the Republicans in Congress. Not wanting to lose in November I'm sure, but willing to stand on their hind legs 2 days later, I hope.
If they don't, it mahy well be the end of the Republican party. They may all win one more term, but beyond that, no.
BBC was just reporting on the NYT editorial. Now they are laughing at us not just for being incompetent but for being so laughable.
