(picture below)? It is using solvent based acrylic adhesive, apparently rather thick layer of it. You should be able to soften it with WD-40 and scrape off with a dull plastic or wooden spatula of sorts.

Many solvents can soften it, just be sure they don't also dissolve the surface of the tub surround panels. Acetone-based are definitely out. If you're using some brand-name glue remover like GooGone or just a strong enough solvent, try it on the panel in an inconspicuous corner first to be sure it does not dull the shine of the tub surround panel. 

Another trick that may work on polished surfaces like those panels is to collect some of the tape you've removed, build a ball from (glue side out) it and rub the ball against the residue on the panels. It sticks to itself better than to anything else, which is why it so easily leaves residue, and there's a good chance you won't need a solvent at all.
