Will paint stick to wall board

We just bought a house, when we looked at it the people still lived in it and it smelled ok. We came to the house the next morning after they left and the house smells horrible of cat urine. I have bleached the walls and the tile floors. We have used a lot of baking soda carpet stuff and nothing it working. I was going to paint the walls the new carpet. It is a Mobil home so the walls have the board the looks like wallpaper. Will painting help with the Oder.

Ideally it will mask the odor a bit, but that is probably not you best option. Try ripping off the old wallpaper, and applying the paint. Either way the problem is most likely embedded in your floors and not in your walls.
