Hey, I'd recommend a few different types of floors for your residence. If your using PEX tubing to install a system, there are a few questions I will need you to answer to get the most optimal results. First thing is are you doing in-slab or underfloor? If you are doing in-slab there are a few measures you should take, as opposed to under-floor. Regardless of your type of installation the best conductor of heat would have to be ceramic tiles, followed by wood, and then carpet. Tiles not only conduct heat well, they also contain the heat. Wood is a decent conductor and it will work fine with your system, but you should stay away from carpets. Carpets have generally bad heat conduction, and you will spend effortless time and money heating up your cabin.
