I.would like a discription on to locate sump pump in basement floor. None in floor now but is required to sell house. Thanks for input.

Typically, in a corner of the smallest room or bump-out wing. Some place outside of a normal or expected pathway, so not near any side nor end of stairs, windows or doors. Try to envision what part of the basement is least likely to ever be converted to living space, if the basement is or were just wide open. Many people choose to put them around the furnace and water heater area, since these are unlikely to be moved by anyone in the future.
