rough new driveway install, what can I do about it?

it appears 2 guys with no game plan . everything was fine till it was time to finish , they did the swirl technique , there are high points it's very rough in most areas , there is no rythme or reason to the look it appears to be just random swirls and very rough. the area of my driveway they did is 12 x 55 and that's only half of the driveway. I still have another 9 yards to pour and I will be getting someone else just not sure how they will match up. What can I do about the finish?? thank you

If you get snow, get just the bad section plowed twice each time to plane it down. Or, drive aggressively over the entire bad portion whenever you use the driveway. It'll eventually wear away and you'll probably be fine. Yeah, it may still end up with a bunch of little cups, but only then would I possibly consider grinding it at all. If you can't envision it ever looking right, then grind it now and have the new guys do a then matching smooth finish on the later portion. Otherwise, it has to be completely ripped out and completely started over.
