Dryer shuts off after a few minutes. It is not the motor. It runs fine.

The dryer works great on air/fluff setting. Shuts off after a few minutes on heat setting. Requires a few minutes to cool down then can be restarted. Only works for a few minutes. Element cycles on and off as it should. Could it be a thermostat or a high limit switch?
