Ceiling Fiberglass/ 7' height / brick walls

Unfinished basement needs to safely function as mancave/ rec room/ exercise space.

#1: can i cover the FIBERGLASS INSULATION in the ceiling with PLASTIC or FABRIC? Drywall nor drop panels are feasible, as the height is under 7 ft. Its been there 30 yrs. The brick exterior walls are NOT insulated.

#2: to MINIMIZE THE DUST from having 100 ft of drain installed, plus brick, and.fiberglass - should this 30 yr old insulation be removed?

- should concrete floor be coated?

#3 is FOAM BOARD insulation safe to leave uncovered?

#1 - Yes, you can cover the old insulation with plastic or fabric...cut out flaps or mark anywhere there's any water valve or electrical box.

- #2 - No, the insulation should still be fine, it's really just acting as sound dampening. And yes, you can seal the floor with a Concrete Sealer, Masonry Paint or Epoxy Paint...adhering to manufacturer's instructions.

- #3 - Yes, as long as the Foam Board isn't exposed to direct sunlight it's perfectly fine to be left exposed or even painted directly with an Interior Latex Paint.
