I just bought a 1978 chevy travelcraft 23' motorhome and need to see a schematic of the way the hoses are suppose to hookup on the actual water heater itself. Is that possible? thank you.

Do you have a picture of the nameplate of the water heater? At least, who is the manufacturer of the heater? If you want to post pictures, please use the "picture" button at the bottom of the comment form.
