Woodworking Commission Available
The Iraqi Coalition Provisional Authority ("CPA") will be posting a Request for Quotes ("RFQ") for a Woodworking project. It seems that there isn't enough Saddam to go around. Many regions of Iraq have expressed their desire to get a piece of Saddam.
Therefore the CPA is considering commissioning the construction of a medieval rack to stretch Saddam to meet the country's urgent needs.
Specifications:
1- The rack must accommodate Saddam's frame and be strong enough to stretch him as specified.2- The wood chosen should be indigenous to Iraq.
3- Woodworkers are encouraged to consider the addition of a woodcarver and woodturner to their team, as it is expected that the rack will be displayed in the Iraqi National Museum after its single use.4-The rack requires a warranty of only one extended use.
5- The CPA will specify the finish requirements due to certain fluids expected to be present after use begins. Please note:
Only woodworkers resident in Iraq or in coalition partner countries may be prime contractors. Subcontractors may be from any nation.
The CPA considers cost to be a secondary evaluation factor. An unsolicited bid for $ 1.2 million has been received from Halliburton.
Further details will be posted as they are developed.
