Unisaw (X5) Arrived

After weeks of waiting for a General 650, which after 5 weeks still hadn't left Quebec, I cancelled the order and went with a Delta X5. I picked it up today and started the assembly process. For the most part things were going fine. Then came the step when I had to insert the support rod into the rear trunnion... "hey, where is that hole?" A look inside and I discovered where it was, it was about 4 inches below where it was suppose to be! Either at the factory (that's where I would put my money) or during shipping the rear trunnion came out of support and fell down. I couldn't get the thing to move at all. So, now I sit with the X5 somewhat assembled and I'll have to call Delta on Monday and see what they suggest. You hate it when you can even fire the thing up because it's broke when it arrives (and it's not like that's an easy thing to fix).

One would think that since Delta has admitted finding a QC problem during assembly that the trunion issue would now be something in the past.. They finally started admitting a problem about a year ago.
