Re: Ambient Air Cleaner Question

I have the 750ER and it's worth the extra $$ over the Jet. For the

That's standard equipment on the Jet.

I'm not sure where you are getting your information, but an electrostatic filter is also standard on the Jet.

=================================================== AT LAST..... someone who has a shop like mine.... "dusty" LOL

As for the effectiveness of the air cleaners...last week I changed the pre filter on both air cleaners then got a bug up my rear and pulled out an aerosol can of spray paint to paint a small metal stand. Set up the stand in the center of the shop and spent maybe 3 minutes shooting it with blue paint... and I was simply amassed at the "color" of both air filters after I had finished... Filters were not really anywhere close to the "painting area" yet removed a heck of a lot of the paint spray from the air...

I have a home made air filter and notice the differance when it is not on. I do some metal working too, and run the filter when doing so. Woodworking, metalworking, painting, the filter is on. Greg

I got a flyer in the mail yesterday from Woodcraft, and it looks like all Jet tools are 10% off on Saturday, 17 April. $199 is a good price ... 10% off that is even better. I will probably add another unti to my shop at that price.

Hi Tim,

What kind of filter is on your dust collection unit? Is it possible dust is getting through it and back into the air? How would you rate the dust collection on your table saw? That was the primary source of dust in my shop, since I don't do any power sanding. After I worked on the dust collection around the blade, the dust in my shop went way, way down, coupled with an increase in how fast the dust bag fills up on the DC.
