I did play HS and semi-pro football and not sure about concussions, but on the bus home after a game, I did have to ask a team mate "who won the game?". Other than that, the only injuries I sustained were a broken neck, various broken fingers, cleat gouges clear to the shin bones and dislocated shoulders. Ah, those were he days...

Never played tackle, played touch football bare footed "in the street". Sometimes a touch is all it took to crash and burn on the gravel on asphalt surface. In hind site that was probably worse than being tackled on grass.

There's no doubt that the US had a key role in winning WWI and WWII.
Since then, the US record has been spotty, to say the least. Particularly in the 21st century.

Scott is a charter member of the blame-America-first crowd.
Whichever way that people think about the supposed arrogance of the US, as a Canadian, I'm glad we share the longest undefended border in the world. Well, it was that way until Sept. 11, 2001, when some walls went up. But, we're still good neighbours and I know that the US would be right there to help us in time of great strife.
