OT: Life can suck.

Boy can it ever!

She sounds like a great gal if she is already coping. I do not think I would be that couragous.

I will hope for continued progressive recovery and feel optimistic in doing so from your post about her.

I wish your entire family Godspeed.

Actually you and your sister have done us all a big favor....when we hear but by the grace of God a woeful tale that could indeed befall any of one of us. That your sister has great pluck and is facing her misfortune bravely you give us hope that maybe we could do the same....my prayers are with your family....thanks Rod

And if she does need support, (financial, medical, emotional) email me where's she's living and I'll point you to her local chapter of the Canadian Paraplegic Association. I'm part of their peer support group in Toronto and there's similar satellite groups throughout Ontario. Saw your comments on the excellent quality of the medical treatment she received. When it comes to rehabilitation, one of the premier rehabilitation hospitals to be found anywhere is located here. It's called Lyndhurst Hospital located at 520 Sutherland Drive in Toronto.
