Ya know - I'm hard-pressed in determining who should be filtered out, BAD, TW, both or neither...

On one hand, BAD does have his moments in offering some woodworking related advice. Be it good, bad or indifferent, at least it's been related to woodworking and he does share his experiences. He has moments that are also out of control but I will give him the benefit of the doubt and tolerate it even though I've been at the point of his stick a time or two. People do have problems, medical conditions and other things in their lives that we know nothing about that can make them act the way they do.

On the other hand, TW has made witty postings, jokes, told stories and otherwise befriended a number of people in the group by doing that but.... nary a word that I can recall about woodworking. Now for a retired, professional woodworker that has as much experience as TW has, I would expect more woodworking related mentoring, advice, suggestions and less of the "making nice" with fanciful stories.

So with all the talk of shunning and who's saying what about who, I think both gentlemen need to take a step back and think about what is really important in their lives. If it's this constant nitpicking that keeps you both going then you have bigger problems that need tending.

Want some of the major contributors to come back - then simply ask them a pertinent question about their specialty. I think you'll find that they're lurking occasionally but taking the high road in order to avoid having their name or comments associated with the online brawling. A number of those contributors from the "good old days" have a website and will answer questions via email too if asked nicely.

There is a big difference between having a lively debate and name calling and have been involved in both. I prefer the former - it's much more productive and educational.

I've finally had enough. I thought the fun would wear off and I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt; even coming to his defence more than once BUT......'nuff is enough. He's tanked and I've made my pledge to Keeter....
