New cordless drill

Awhile back someone was asking about cordless drills. Just thought I'd share my experience while I had a moment or two. About 4 years ago I bought a Firestorm 14.4v and have used it considerably over this time and have been happy with it, but finally it started making clunking noises, so figured it was time to have it re built or get a new one as I already have batteries. Depending on what's wrong with it it could cost as much as a new Firestorm, which I realized after looking at them ,won't use my older batteries. So I started looking for the cheapest up grade and found that a Makita 12.0v was about the cheapest in the better names. To my surprise, after looking at the specs the Makita 12v max torq is 310in/ lbs. and my Firestorm 14.4 was only

250. So realized I didn't need to go to a 14.4 volt. It was $149 at Lowes with a $20 gift card rebate. This drill should probably last me the rest of my useable life.
