Freud Router Bits - Need Info

What the hell, with the local WWW stores closing their doors and 40% off router bits, I kinda blew the budget this month since I know I won't see prices like this again and my friend is still working there - so why not.

Picked up the Recov-Bead Glassdoor Set (99-281) and the Divided Light Cabinet Door Set (99-270) as well as the adjustable tongue and groove set, a glue joint bit, adjustable slot cutter and several other plain Jane bits.

The door sets will be used soon enough and I'll certainly experiment with them and learn how to use them properly but.... The Divided Light Cabinet Door Set (99-270) has me a little baffled. The profiles do not match as you would expect for a stile and rail bit and I just can't visualize how these fit together. Probably as soon as I make some test cuts, the light will go on but until then, I'm gonna loose some sleep.... They are assembled correctly and they match the profiles as shown on Freud's site - so that's not the problem.

I've searched the Freud site and plenty of others for info but all I can find is one review pretty much stating what I said but nothing more. Anyone have any experience with these that you would care to share or a site with more info?

Thanks,

Bob S.

Bob,

CMT makes a divided light router bit set. I picked one up a couple months ago, but haven't used it yet. But here's the thing: I got an instructional video from Sommerfeld with it! Perhaps their video would help you figure out how to use the Freud? I paid only $5 for it at the time of purchase; don't know how much it is when sold separately...

Thanks - I'll check their site. The more I look at this thing the confuser I get... Gotta be something real simple I'm overlooking. Would like to give it a whirl but its just to damn cold out in the shop right now - and besides I'm in the middle of doing a wireless design for a project in Memphis (gotta pay the bills while we can ya know).

Thanks,

Bob S.
