It's a wonderful story. Not the bike itself, but the kid's determination, persistence, and ingenuity. He learned a lot about life and how to succeed, which was probably the real goal of the project.

That's a beautiful piece. It IS art, and it IS a bicycle, and is no less a "real" goal than everything else he learned.

Amazing. I wish he'd included more detail on what he'd learned about materials and dimensions though in case somebody else wants to try it.
