WTB TFT TV Wall Mount

Hi,

I'm looking to buy a VESA wall mount for a small TFT TV that I have just ordered. Goal is to install TV under a kitchen unit so it can be kept off the worktop and pushed flush against the wall when not in use.

I can't believe the price of these things.

This style is what I would like:

over £90 incl. delivery! Tough to justify..

Looking around there are cheaper ones like this:

not so many degrees of freedom.

Any other ideas/suggestions before I start to save my pocketmoney!

But not so many degrees of freedom.

I wanted one for ceiling mounting, and the prices were even more outrageous. I could only then find them in pro broadcasting dealers.

So I made one using copper tube and my trusty pipe bender. If anything it looks better than the pro models which tend to be adjustable to fit a range of sizes and shapes.

Of course this approach probably wouldn't work for what you need as the stresses in a wall mounting are different.

which is located in Perthshire ... somewhere... described as an _articulated bracket_ it's basically two nine-inch arms with a sway and tilt bracket. It folds back into the wall (about two-inches off); can pull out about eighteen inches; can 'translate' eighteen odd inches to left or right; and from any of the positions in that arc can swivel +/- 80(?) deg and pitch up/down 20(?) deg. all for a cost of £26.99. Standard disclaimer - I'm only a satisfied customer - found 'em off a Google search and was satisfied with their price and service.

It does look a bit rural up there.
