Wireless sensors for wired house alarm

Hi all,

I have a wired house alarm that i fitted some years back.

A while back I added a wireless panic button for SWMBO. This has a single h and held button pad and a powered receiver next to the wired alarm box, whi ch presents clean contacts to one of the zones of the wired alarm. This is is defined as a panic alarm zone.

So, I want to start putting sensors in areas that have no cable access, lik e the garage. I can't find any ready made door or window contacts that are wirless and wirelessly connect back to a receiver like my panic button does . All I can find are wireless sensors for wireless alarm systems.

If I could find a small generic battery powered transmitter that alerts a b ase station with clean contacts, I can make my own wireless sensors anywher e.

Any suggestion for such hardware ? - Got to be cheap and cheerful, nothing fancy, just a button that remotely opens a clean contact on a central box, connected to an alarm zone. Aesthetics dont matter, as the use case is for places like the garage.

Thanks

Chris

Have you considered a wireless switch (such as your panic button) and modifying the switch bit to activate with the door contact and not the actual button press on the switch?

Or this.

I once did something similar with a door contact a wireless doorbell to activate the doorbell in the house.

Wireless doorbell - that's a good idea. Can't be difficult to adapt the electronis to close a contact.

Will look into that.
