Wickes power washer- any good?

Just noticed that Wickes have some discounted own-brand power washers. There is a 100bar/ 330 litres per minute model for £30 down from £50. Anyone know if these are any good? (by good, I mean: a) work properly and b) are durable) I am slightly cautious about cheap Wickes own brand stuff after I bought one of their wet and dry vacuum cleaners. The motor and body of the unit was really quite good, but the tools were so poorly conceieved and badly made as to make the machine unusable. The pole sections were made of the thinnest plastic and relied on taper/ push fit to hold them together- no locking mechanism whatsoever. The slightest amount of back and forth movement (as one is apt to perform with vacuum cleaner tools) and it all just comes apart.

Regards, Jim.

-Of course, I meant 330 litres per hour!

Shame, I would have liked to have seen somone turn on the first one (from a distance) ;-)

Seems like a topical question given the new FAQ section that Phil posted about the other day:

that, I guess the answer is something like, might be OK at the price, but don't expect too much!)

I got a pressure washer from B&Q. It was about £30.

It is very good. The only thing is that you must remember to clean the inlet filter on the unit once a year. It is simply a matter of pulling the filter out.

Small amounts of black gunk seem to grow inside our plastic hose pipe if it contains any moisture. This is flushed through into the cleaner and caught by the filter.

Exactly the same as my new Electrolux V/C. Fortunately I kept the original

20 year old tools when replacing it and still use them apart from the hose bit. They were much better designed and constructed in those days.
