Where to buy decent euro cylinder door looks at a good price, in a secure way?

Good day - can anyone recommend where I can obtain euro cylinder door locks ( preferably kite marked, 3-star) at good prices and in a secure way. Buyi ng on eBay or Amazon doesn't seem a secure way to buy because the locks inv ariably aren't in a factory-sealed package and the seller would have a reco rd of my home address. I don't like the idea of imposing on a friend to rec eive my locks via mail order.

Needless to say B&Q's prices are silly, and Wilkinsons, Screwfix, Toolstati on and Argos don't have much to offer. Wickes has a few, but their prices a re surprisingly steep.

Ideally, I'd like to buy 2-star or 3-star kite marked locks for £30 or less (and preferably not the really common makes that many burglars have b ump keys for).

Thank you, Al

How about a local locksmith?

Thanks, but I assumed that option would be the most expensive way to buy. T he local locksmiths I've visited seem to be considerably more expensive tha t the average trade shed, for example.

By the way, a correction: Wickes have a very poor selection, and only budge t locks, as far as I can tell form their web site.

True, but you've said the average shed doesn't have what you want.

I don't remember saying that - but it is probably true. :-) Al

but the postage chage is high, if incurred. (And I found my local locksmith, proper one, not a kiosk in a shopping centre, was cheaper for replacement keys. If I need more locks I'd check with them first.)

It would have been better to ensure that they did not know where the locks might be used, which I could have done, but not without causing a delay. The locks were several Mul T Lock Integrator cylinders keyed alike.

You could start at SF and TS - they seem to have quite good ones, the prices are probably as good as you'll get and, if you don't use an order form with your details on it, should be anonymous.

Yale does need a decent handle to attain the rating.

BTW, be careful on the sizing, as some 'secure' locks are one-way round only. If you can't get the exact size, have any extra on the inside - the outside should be correct. Next door once had a lock with about 20mm sticking out, cheap lock, visible from the road.

Also, does anyone know whether digital (i.e. keypad or button) locks can be obtained for a uPVC door with a eurolock barrel? The only ones I have seen cost ?hundreds. Surely can't be that difficult.
