Just as a longshot: a belgian friend of mine has a mig welder

MH Weltronic systems /BIRMINGHAM   5164 //  Tiger MK3   (Tig  HF unit ) Mfd 1990  .  

Which has blown some electronics, apparently the IC chips aren't identifiable, the firm is out of business and he's looking for a circuit diagram.
