WC Seat question

Hi, We have a back to the wall wc at work that has a seat that has broken. The WC has the standard two holes in the ceramic material to fit a seat, but the design of the ceramic is such that you cannot get the otherside of the holes, this is all enclosed, ie you only have top access. This means most standard seat cannot be fitted as you cannot get underneath to fit and tighten up the nuts they usually use. How are you supposed to fit new seats ? Remove the wc so you can get in the back to access the bolts ?

Is there any sort of plastic plug that would fit in to the holes that bolts could screw in to ....the danger being that the ceranic would crack if they are too tight .

Otherwise ,as you suggest,it's WC out time .

Either remove it, or fit a seat made for such a toilet. They are £20 or so more than standard seats (the ones I've seen anyway). They work by putting wall plug type plugs into the holes in the pan, you then screw into them from the top. No need to get behind/under them to tighten. Quite easy to fit actually. Alan.
