waterproofing

Hi, I have a large shed that is around 2 years old and over the last few months the roof on this inside has developed mould and damp, can anyone please advise me on how to treat this before it rots or is damaged beyond repair???

All over or in one place?. If all over it might be poor ventilation, though that's probably unlikely in a typical shed. Though it has been relatively mild and damp this winter. What is the shed used for? If it is poor ventilation then a a couple of vents high up in the walls might do the job.

Or it might be a leak in the felt of the roof. The felt use by manufacturers on a typical shed isn't very good quality and can soon fail.

Have a look at the roof. There might be a tear in the felt, or it might just be leaking through where it is nailed down. I'd probably look to patch repair if necessary and then do a better job later in the year

If water's getting in anywhere, even at ground level, it'll make the interior damper and cause condensation. So I'd look for any possible water ingress.

Plant growth keeping sun off can also worsen things.

I used the nearest I could get to old-fashioned creosote and painted it liberally with that - that worked nicely. Mind your eyes if you try it, it's narrrrsty stuff!
