Water proof extension lead

I have a set of outdoor mains Xmas lights, which my dearly beloved wants fitting (big sigh). I have an outdoor mains socket, but the problem is I could do with another few feet between that and the lights plug. Is there any source of waterproof extension leads, or a reliable way of waterproofing one. So as not to upset trades descriptions act I do not need it to withstand water to a depth of X feet, just weather proof I suppose.

You can get weatherproof cable joints in B&Q etc.

I saw some outdoor sockets with cables in Aldi today - they were next to the outdoor Christmas lights. I didn't look too closely so don't know the price etc - I was looking for other DIY special offers at the time.

brng the cables out through the end of an unused condom whih contains the plug and socket, and treat that with a generous smear of waterproof grease. KY gel is NOT recommended. Use a rubber band or tie wrap to seal.

I use these a lot , I've had them underwater and on outdoor appliances, pressure washers etc... and not had a problem with them. Available from CEF.
