Water based gloss

Being a fool, I'm lending a hand with a bit of decorating. Having recently buggered about with Dulux's water based Satinwood (tagline: Runnier than water on a steep slope!) I swore that if I was ever forced to wield a brush again I would only buy the heaviest VOC paint I could find. However, I've been banned from this on grounds of it setting off my friends' asthma.

The only upside to this is it only has to encompass a nice simple cream colour so can the team recommend a water based gloss range, please.

I think the water based gloss have specific problems, but the Leyland water based satin paint I used was quite thick and creamy, and tended to show br ush marks. The trouble is, if you dilute it down it loses coverage. A belie ve a lot or professionals use additives to "sort out" water based, stuff, e .g. floetrol,

I actually hate painting now due to the incidence of dust and/or bits in th e paint, but that's another issue.
