Washing machine into toilet waste pipe

Hi, we're moving into a new home tomorrow, and some friends are donating a dishwasher. We therefore want the dishwasher in the kitchen where the current residents have a washing machine. This means our washing machine needs to be relegated to the "outside toilet" (not actually outside, since a lean-to conservatory was constructed in the mid '70s). Last time I did this, I branched off the supply and waste from the kitchen sink. This time, there is no sink. I'm fine with what needs to happen with the cold water inlet, but what to I need to get for the waste? It apoears to go straight into the ground, although this is clearly not the original toilet, as some modern plastic pipe takes the horizontal soil from the toilet and directs it verticcally into the hole in the ground. A photo of this from back when we last thought we were buying this house (June 2008) is at

It looks from you photo that the vertical pipe might be a 110mm to

90mm converter. Now assuming that the original installation meets the regs my understanding is that it's acceptable to fit a strap-on boss like one of these:

would be fitted into the vertical section. Technically is mustn't oppose the loo (ie. but on the opposite side to it) but as you can't do that anyway in your situation you're OK.

Some details to consider: That boss may only be suitable for 110mm pipe. You really want one for 90mm if that's a 90mm pipe. It'll look the same but the curve will be different. I don't know how important that is, it may be OK to use 110mm fittings on 90mm pipe, ask a plumber or offer the part up to the pipe and see how good a fit it makes. You'll need solvent weld and a rubber insert of course. Have fun cutting the hole in the pipe. Normally you would drill a ring of holes then tidy it up with a stanley knife or file. Not a pleasant job and you only get one attempt to get it right. Failure means replacing that adaptor which isn't too bad though. The regs are here:

are worth reading to avoid mistakes. Of particular interest to you will be pages 7, 8 and 9.

As ever there are other ways to go about it but the above seems easiest to me.
