Many thanks to everyone in here that contributed to the recent thread about replacing washing machine drum bearings.
Just done it on an Indesit and it was exactly as outlined in the discussion, with use of a cutting disk on a dremel thing to cut the crapped remains of the old bearings out of the hub.
Total cost including a new drum back seal £27 and three hours labour.
