washer for close coupled WC

its a round donut shaped washer that sits between the cistern and pan, after removing and re fitting the toilet a couple of times and probably tightening it a bit much its ended up wet and squashed, so i need another one before fitting the WC for the last time. anyone know where i can get one? screwfix and diy shops dont seem to stock them?/

Everybody stocks them!

There are different sizes though, take the old one with you.

Worth buying a tub of Plumbers Mait as well.

the one that came with the toilet is a foam sort of material, like what is used for packaging things in a box. different to the rubber one in the wickes / screwfix link. i guess it might be a cheap one b and q sell with suites. for 2.99 i might as well get the screwfix package, but what is that metal plate thing? oh like the donut maker btw lol :)

The metal plate & bolts are one method of connecting the cistern to the pan, you should already have them or similar.

You just need the Wickes one.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember benpost saying something like:

They're pretty much all foam type - they have to be to squash down properly.

The plate is for some cisterns that don't have two holes for fixing bolts, it is trapped under the big plastic nut and shorter bolts slide into it and are passed down through the pan holes.
