UPVC Window

I need to replace my garage window so would like UPVC. It measures 1235mm wide by 920mm high between the brickwork. I know to reduce these measurements by 10mm each way, but how do I allow for the cill or will the supplier do this calculation. Also anybody know of any cheap suppliers in the Leeds area. As I said it is only for the garage so not too bothered about fantastic quality.

TIA

Most often you do not allow for the cill, make sure you tell them this, and the supplier will deduct the correct amount.

As far as I'm aware, you deduct 10mm from the overall width and height (this is what I've done when ordering my own windows - and they fitted nicely), not allow a 10mm gap all the way around. Again, make sure you tell the supplier that you have already allowed for the gap.

both seem good suppliers, and as they're sort of internet based, delivery to leeds shouldn't be a problem.

Getting a good profile (manufacturer) won't cost you much extra, but is probably worth it in the long run.

Have a look at Screwfix. Their windows are excellent quality for the price, but in stock sizes. Being a garage, it would be simple to alter the brickwork, and probably cheaper than having a window made to size.
