Kinell. 60,000 poor buggers.

Wouldn't have thought Knauf would be selling dodgy PB though.

Bit short on facts - what are these contaminants?

How do they come to be released from a solid board?

The "Chinese" company they showed - Knauf - is also a major supplier in the UK.

US building standards or practices mean there is very little ventilation of the internal spaces? The corroded copper certainly looks like sulphur attack. Interesting that the problem seems more pronounced in southern states (warm and high humidity?)

Knauf Taijin or another Knauf? Where does the UK source its board from?

Read the contents of the link you posted.

Interestingly US made boards also exhibited varying levels of sulphide emmision, some higher than the Chinses boards. As always there is much more behind the story than first appears and one needs to dig to get past the spin and alternative agendas to even stand a chance of finding the truth.
