Toilet Cistern

Elderly relative has a brown (Ugh) bathroom suite. The toilet cistern has cracked due to fitting a tight new flushing lever.

Any ideas if a brown replacement might be available? (Close coupled)

Any ideas on how to stop if weeping through the crack?

How far does the crack extend down? Can you stop it leaking simply by adjusting the ball valve to lower the water level?
