Temporary fixing onto a Brick Wall

A local charity wants to fix a sign over the entrance to a building (not their own), for a one-day event.

The sign will be about 1.5m x 0.3m - either a PVC banner or a laminated paper print. But how to fix it? There are no anchor-points for ropes, and no suitable windows.

Is there any heavy-duty equivalent to Blu-Tac which would take the necessary weight, not fall off it rains, but come away cleanly from the brickwork at the end of the day?

Any other ideas?

Sounds a tall order!

How about some form of poles at either end, which would take the weight of the banner? Not sure how that would work; I'm thinkinh aloud really.

Would you be allowed to nail or screw some form of fitting into the mortar between the bricks, as opposed to the bricks themselves? That would be easy enough to reverse when the banner came down, with no deleterious effect on the fabric of the building.

The message from snipped-for-privacy@starmarkassociates.co.uk contains these words:

Hot melt glue?

Failing that, stick it on some bamboos and shove them in plant tubs full of soil.

If it's hanging over the entrance best make sure whatever you use is secure or you could have a compensation claim if it lands on someone's head!!
