Does anyone know an electrical wholesaler in Leicestershire, Midlands, London or further afield that can supply 25mm sq SWA 2 core (preferred) or 3 core cut to length? Project is to move a Consumer Unit away from the incoming mains.
35mm sq would be even better as giving less volt drop, but enquiries so far indicate that is even rarer - perhaps as rare as pigs eggs.BTW necessary circuit protection at the incomer has been sorted out, it's only a source for SWA cable I need at this stage.

You should ask your supplier what they require. I think over 3 meters ( in some regions) and you need armoured and a/or a fused switch to protect the extended tails.
A switch-fuse will certainly be needed, but the DNO cannot dictate the wiring system to be used. Anything which complies with BS 7671 in all relevant respects will be acceptable - SWA, singles in conduit, sheathed singles, pyro...
