Suitable IP rating?

Hi all

Can somone confirm what IP rating I need for a junction box to connect

240v mains to my exterior rated transformer. The box will be mounted on an exterior wall with no protection from the weather.

I would use IP66

IP65 ~ IP67 will be fine.

if you don't need strain relief.

if you do need strain relief via a cable gland (a.k.a. compression, stuffing or CTS gland).
