specialist(?) fitting sought for holding glass 'gainst wood

Hi all I'm looking to do some repairs on my old dad's rickety greenhouse/lean-to. It's a wood-and-3mm-glass construction and I'm trying to track down some fixings for the glass. They may be a bit non-standard so I'll explain the situation.

The glass sheets for the sloping roof basically slide into channels between two lengths of wood. They are prevented from slipping out again by 'end stops' made of plastic and about 5cm long by 2cm wide. These end stops incorporate small nails which were tapped into the wood underneath. The end stops have a 'lip' on them and serve to prevent the glass from lifting as well as sliding/falling out.
