Source of small fuel hose.

I bought one of these last year:

I left petrol in the tank over the winter and when I came to use it last week I found (incredibly) that the petrol pipe was broken and degraded and I could pick it apart with my fingernails.

Otherwise I have been very happy with the product.

The tube is 5mm outside diameter and I need about six inches. Does anyone know of a good source? local garage?

Thanks

Brendan.

Link doesn't work for me but I think a garage won't be able to help you. Far better to visit a lawnmower/strimmer repair specialist or look on eBay.

Thanks Tim

I feel a bit foolish. Putting '5mm fuel hose' into google gives me everything I need.

They must have scoured the earth to find petrol pipe of such a poor quality. Just about every car has low pressure flexible pipes somewhere in its fuel system, and they generally last 15 years plus.

As he asked a year ago I expect the job's already done. Do yourself a favour and get a sane newsgroup client or portal. Google groups is a huge improvement on that place you're using. This is news:uk.d-i-y.

I don't and never have had any petrol powered tools.

So have absolutely no idea what he's on about.

I get that, perhaps someone else is reading whom this more recent info might help

Also I found out the tool has no relation at all with Titan-pro, they are not able to help

As we said before, eBay is good for small quantities of this sort of thing. Silicone is stretchy and retains its flexibility over a wide temperature range, and won't soften or harden if it gets too close to warm bits.

The Titan Pro website doesn't have any in stock so I need to order some from Amazon or E bay. I saw above the external diameter is 5mm but does anybody know what the internal diameter is? I can have a go at measuring it but if someone has the correct size it will save me ordering the wrong one, Thanks
