Smart Charger circuit

Anybody have a schematic for a 'SMART' charger .....or 3 state to give it another name for a Lead Acid Batteries.

Have battery charges and several 12V supplies ... be good to make up a SMART charger that would allow me to leave 12V Lead Acid or CA/CA on 'float' charge.

Keep an eye on Lidl and Aldi. They do them several times a year for about

13 quid. Cheaper than you could make one for. They are excellent.

lead acid can be kept on a regulated-voltage charger forever, say set at 13= .5 volts as with a car's alternator. Plus a series resistor to limit charg= e current to 14 hour charge rate. This is sometimes explained on the batte= ry cases. An exact 12v regulated supply wouldn't fully charge them, but wo= uld probably keep them in good condition.
